Cheesy beef sandwich

Ingredients

  • 350 g minced beef
  • 1 heaping tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Tabasco® (optional)
  • 2 onions, peeled and chopped
  • 50 g butter
  • 8 slices of multigrain bread
  • 8 slices of Emmental cheese
  • 4 tablespoons sauce (ketchup, mayonnaise or mustard)
  • Salt, pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Heat the pan over a medium heat and wait until the Thermal-Signal has turned completely red before adding your ingredients.
  3. Melt the butter, and add the onions and a pinch of salt. Caramelise over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, mix the beef with the mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, salt and pepper. Shape 4 patties about the size of slices of bread. Set aside.
  5. Remove the onions from the pan and set aside. Place the beef patties in the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side in the remaining butter. Set aside.
  6. Spread 4 slices of bread with sauce and add onions. Place the beef and 2 slices of cheese on top. Top with the remaining slices of bread.
  7. Place the sandwiches in the pan, place in the oven and remove the Ingenio handle. Leave to cook for 5 minutes.
