What is a pancake pan?
As the name suggests, it’s a pan designed for pancakes (and French favourite crepes) that features a shallow edge, making it easier to slide your spatula underneath to turn or flip your pancakes.
Tefal pancake pans also feature the Thermo-Signal, a heat indicator that turns red to let you know when the pan has reached the ideal temperature for perfect searing and cooking performance.
One of the most important features you need when cooking pancakes is a non-stick surface. Without it, you will end up with more pancake in the pan than on your plate. Tefal pans have a durable non-stick coating that allows for easy flipping and makes it effortlessly easy to clean up after cooking. All our non-stick coatings are tested and certified safe non-stick with no PFOA, Lead or Cadmium.
Tefal pancake pans are also versatile. Try them for other flat foods such as omelettes and rotis, or you can saute vegetables and even grill sandwiches.

How to make the perfect pancake
We’ve prepared a few expert tips to help you cook perfect pancakes at home. Pancakes are easy to cook, but they are also easy to get wrong. Next time you’re ready to cook a batch of delicious, fluffy pancakes, have these tips handy. And remember, practice makes perfect!
1. Use a Tefal pancake pan (of course!).
2. Pre-heat the pan before adding the batter. The Thermo-SignalTM indicator on your Tefal pan turns full red when it’s time to start cooking.
3. Use a ladle or measuring cup for controlled pouring of your pancake batter.
4. Don’t flip too early. Watch carefully and when you see bubbles forming on the surface of your pancake, that means the bottom is cooked and it’s time to flip.
5. Mind that spatula. Resist the urge to press down on your pancake while cooking, as it can deflate the pancake and make it less fluffy.
6. Keep your pancakes warm in a pre-heated oven while you finish cooking the rest of the batch. Set to a low temperature.
