1956
The invention of the non-stick pan
Marc Grégoire discovered a material with non-stick properties and developed an innovative method for bonding it to an aluminum disc.
A conversation with his wife over a pot of boiling milk, then sparked the idea of applying the non-stick properties of this material to cookware. A steak could now be grilled without sticking, and the pan could be cleaned in a flash. Thus, the first non-stick pan was born.
1996
Launch of Ingenio
Tefal reinvented cookware storage and versatility with Ingenio, introducing its iconic removable handle system that allows cookware to stack and move seamlessly from hob to oven to table.
2000
Introduction of Thermo-Signal
Tefal introduced its signature heat indicator technology, helping home cooks know exactly when the pan has reached the ideal cooking temperature.
